You have probably been reading or hearing in the news about the various Facebook and Instagram user privacy issues that have cropped up as of late.
As a result, to keep users’ information safe and secure, Facebook is changing the way all partners like Zocle access data. While we believe these changes are good because they benefit our client’s privacy and security, some of these changes have impacted or will impact Zocle functionality.
As of April 4th, changes to the Facebook and Instagram APIs have impacted Zocle in the following ways:
- Searching for Facebook Page feeds and adding columns for feeds that are not your own will also be deprecated.
- Searching for Instagram feeds and adding columns for feeds that are not your own will also be deprecated.
- Tracking new Instagram accounts and retrieving tracking data will no longer be available in IQity Analytics.
- Tracking new Facebook accounts and retrieving tracking data will no longer be available in IQity Analytics.
Over the coming days, we will be updating the Zocle and IQity interfaces to reflect these changes.
